Light and shadow

What is interesting about this pattern?

Every day and night the light and shadow outsides my window repeats its rhythm, it’s the intangible pattern that breaks the solid pattern of the wall or materials. Lights and shadow add pattern to plane surface. You can kind of predict the pattern of shadow based on the object the lights shine through.

It’s changing slowly, but repeat itself everyday

Ideate & prototype Assignment 1

Idea1:

One of the pattern that I always obsessed with is the sky, it’s like a canvas that’s constantly being painted over and over. The clouds leaves trace on the sky, but after awhile it was like a whole new painting. I am fascinated by how constant and how dynamic it is at the same time.

I want to try to make an abstract, yet detailed interpretation of the sky.
